This 12 Days with Off We Go Safaris is bush to beach safaris itinerary that is ideal for families, friends and tourists who would like to experience the Adventure and great Wildlife including the big 5 and wonderful scenery of Africa Nature as well as enjoy and relaxation in white sand beach in Zanzibar Island.
This trip will cover the whole distance to the famous, Ngorongoro Crater Tarangire national Park and Manyara National Park and also Lake Eyasi home for ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer Bushmen). You will also have the opportunity for a relaxing beach holiday on the exotic Island of Zanzibar. A few days of relaxation on some of the best beaches of the world will complete this unforgettable vacation.This made you to explore the Hidden Treasure of Tanzania and beauty of Africa.
Itinerary
Arrive in Tanzania at the Kilimanjaro International airport where you will met with Off We Go Safaris guide. Then transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight at Planet lodge.
After breakfast at the lodge, picked up with packed lunch and drive to Tarangire national park for game drive, this park known for its big concentration of Elephants per square kilometer and also the magnificent combination of Baobab and Acacia trees which make the unique landscape. You can able to see the big cats Lions, Leopards and Cheetahs; you will also see zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes and many other species of antelopes. The park is the paradise for bird’s watcher due to its habitats
Evening drive to Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight
After breakfast at the lodge, with packed lunch drive to Tarangire for a full day game viewing. In this long day you can be able to cover the big area of the Park which will give you more chance to see the Big Cats and this can make the great experience of your life time.

After breakfast at we leave Tarangire National Park with parked lunch and drive for 1 hour to Lake Manyara National Park.
Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of African animals, including elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Buffalo, and many other animals without forgetting the unique feature of tree climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake.

After early cup of coffee, with parked breakfast drive to Bushmen ‘Hadzabe’ area. This morning you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer Bushmen). Then after you will have luck to participate with them in local hunting with bow arrow. After hunt it will be a good time for you to enjoy your bush breakfast. Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western rift valley wall. The tribe inhabits the lake shores. After breakfast short drive to visit the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe who deals with animal keeping and iron smith. There is very good time for you to learn and participate in local activities around their villages include iron meting and grind maize by use stone and many other activities. Then drive back to the lodge for rest and waiting for hot lunch. Lake Eyasi area is the best for onion growing in East Africa, so after lunch you will head to onion plantations and this will be end of your extraordinary life experience.

After early breakfast it’s time for the famous Ngorongoro Crater, drive from the lodge to Ngorongoro Conservation area. You will descend down to the Crater floor by our 4×4 wheel drive vehicle for game viewing, where you will witness one of the beautiful landscape in the world.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area boasts the finest blend of landscapes, wildlife, people and archaeological sites in Africa. Often called “the African Eden”. The Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage Site, is nestled in a range of extinct volcanoes which rise to heights of more than 3,500 meters (11,483 feet). It is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world – 19.2 km (12 miles) in diameter, 610 m (2,000feet) deep and 304 sq. km (117 sq. miles) in area.
Ngorongoro is a huge and deep volcanic Crater. There’s rich pasture, swamps, forest and permanent water on the Crater floor that’s why wildlife is so diverse and numerous. The crater floor is home to the largest population of mammals and you can spot the big 5 here on a relatively small area just stunning. Is the best opportunity to see black Rhino and many other rare species like the black-manned Lion. After game drive enjoy your picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok spring in the crater.
After lunch enjoy the rest of your time for game drive and late afternoon drive to the lodge;

After a leisurely breakfast we will take to the Seronera Air strip for your flight to Zanzibar
On arrival to Zanzibar Airport meet and greet with our guide the Transfer to Kichanga Lodge, among the swaying palms in beautiful Michamvi on the South-Eastern coastline of the island, Kichanga Lodge offers one of the most romantic stays on all of Zanzibar. It is real luxury as nature intended it.

After a leisurely breakfast at the Lodge, enjoy the beach activities on your own choice.

After breakfast at the Lodge, drive to Kizimkazi for Dolphin Tour
This is a morning excursion, the main attraction of the Dolphin Tour Zanzibar being able to swim close to the dolphins, actually its swimming with the dolphins. Being very social themselves you can even get to play with them.

After a leisurely breakfast at the Lodge, drive to Stone Town. First you will visit the Spice Plantations at Kidichi for the famous Spice Tour. We have developed a special Spice Tour with in depth information not only about spices, but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description about their traditional uses in medicine, cosmetics and cooking. After the tour we invite for an opulent lunch at the ‘Spice Restaurant’, where you can taste the spices and fruits.
In the afternoon we will show you Stone Town on our Historical Stone Town Tour. This tour takes you through fabled Stone Town, where history appears to stand still. With visits to the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People’s Palace) and the Arab Fort amongst others, it is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. You will see Zanzibar’s bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques! Transfer back to your beach lodge.

After breakfast at the Lodge, drive to stone Town. Then you will take a boat from the shores of Stone Town, setting down anchor 5 km away, on the beautiful beach of Prison Island. Prison Island, known locally as Changuu. The island’s most famous inhabitant, a 192-year-old tortoise, Land on the soft, white sand and make your way to the island’s jail, which was built in 1893 with the hope of housing prisoners. Break free from jail and discover the island’s freewheeling Aldabra giant tortoises, which slowly stroll across the island in search of tasty vegetation. Prison Island is now home to the only sanctuary dedicated to saving these remarkable creatures, and you have a chance to chat with the foundation’s passionate preservationists. Once you get familiar with the shelled wanderers, reach down and feed them some of their favorite greenery.
After making friends with a tortoise, venture over to the beach and grab some snorkel gear. Float above the coral reef to see some of the 400 species of fish, including the rare lionhead cichlid, which called these shallow shores home. Take some time to relax in the sun before you head back to Zanzibar Island.

After a leisurely breakfast at the Lodge and depending on your departure schedule we transfer you to the Airport to take a flight back home with fond memories of your bush to beach Safari in Tanzania.
