Ngorongoro Conservation Area Overview

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area was part of the Serengeti ecosystem in 1950’s adjoins the Serengeti National Park from southern Serengeti plains, the plain extends north into Masai mara in Kenya. Annual wildebeests migration pass through the Ngorongoro in the months of November to the late February. The most breath taking place is the Crater its self! (technically known as Caldera) The large unbroken, un flooded Caldera. It was formed about three million years ago when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself. Standing about 610mt within an area of 260km2 Its floor accommodates almost all species of animals found in Serengeti!
